WALT: include writing steps.
Suddenly I opened my eyes having heard a loud crash through a window. I ullled myself up and checked for damage. Nothing. Down my lift leg I was covered in damp moss and dirt. My arms were pale white like they had been covered with flour. Everything else was fine. But where was I? I squinted around the dark eery room and about ten minutes later I soon realized that I was locked in an old beach house. Tiptoing across the room, I tried to open a door. Locked. I turned and pulled on all the others. There was not a single door I could get through. My cold hungry body groaned. Shivers down my back I tried to fall asleep. Creeping around the room gazing at the strange objects scattered on the hard wood floor. I hadn't been able to sleep that night. I felt something soft with fur. I picked it up. Whatever it was keeped bounceing from side to side excitedly. It was a tiny mouse sitting on my hand. He looked quite happy to be free. On his neck there was a small key. I took it. I et the mouse go but it wouldn't move. I went quietly to a door and the mouse followed. I put the key in. The door opened. I saw light, I heard animals. Once I stepped into the strong wind I felt so great that I didn't notice what was in front of me. A male lion lunged at me. I could feel his breath blowing against my face. His long mane shook out violently at me. I turned to run but realized that he wanted to help me. Feeling nervous, I picked up the mouse and climbed on the lion, he took off. All of a sudden everything was a blur. I yelled for him to stop. Stepping onto the golden sand warm under my feet. There were palm trees behind my back and in front of me was a large ocean spreading as far as I could see. But by now I was starting to dehydrate. I needed to get water, fast. Not long later I was riding on a boat; the last night I made a flag out of leaves and twigs, and that's how the boat came. The boat rocking dangerously I returned home. The next time something like this happened I would know what to do. In this story there was a mouse and a lion. Now they're great friends.Wednesday, July 13, 2011
